The pickup roared in off the road and peeled up to the door,
A cowboy and girl came bustling into the Motel Forty-four,
"This here is Sue, my luuvin' bride, and I'm her brand new groom,
"We just got hitched, so we want to rent ourselves a motel room."

"Well," winked the clerk as he got up from where he had been idle,
"Congratulations!  I guess you kids are going to want the bridal??"
With utmost care, the groom eyed sweet Sue.  He didn't think she'd take a bit,

"Naaw, I'll jest holt on tight t'both her ears 'til she gits the hang of it."
